Pro Sun review

Hey dolls,

Here's my quick little review on the Pro Sun airbrush tanning system as I've been using it quite a bit lately and feel it's worth a mention!!

I bought this unit from eBay for £16.99 including postage, it came with:

  • Airbrush gun
  • 3 disposable 75ml cartridges
  • 2 disposbale hair protectors
  • 2 disposable thongs

The company states that one cartridge will last for 2 full body applications however I found that to be stretchng the truth a little, one cartridge lasts for one full body application. It is 'supposed' to have a fresh citrus scent but in my opinion it has the trademark biscuit tanning smell.

I was very impressed with the compact and simple easy to use design of this product, the cartridges slid in easy and didn't clog up the nozzle so no cleaning was required as with some other tanning solutions on the market. The two release buttons are a little difficult and it requires a little elbow grease to get the cartridge out. The tanning solution itself was slightly more watery than expected and resulted in some product waste.

*Tanning Tips*

I highly recommend you do this in the bathroom and it in for an even application.

Only squirt in small areas at a time as it does have a tendency to run.

Try spraying some tan into a glove and gently rub in evenly over hands and feet.

Remove all traces of unwanted hair 24 hours prior to tanning to avoid skin irritation.

Exfoliate and moisturise aplenty!

Overall the tan is really deep and lasts for a few days - it did really dry my skin out though and faded unevenly in a patchy 'giraffe' pattern, the tell tale signs were definitely in between the fingers.

If you're looking for an airbrush system but don't want to indulge in high end expensive products prior to trying it out then I would highly recommend this for you.

Thanks for reading and a Happy New Year to you all

Nailene Frenchies

Hi girlies,

I'm bringing you another Nailene post, I love this brand so much they're internationally renowned for creating salon-quality artificial finger nails sold at retail price... what more could a girl want?

The nails I'm wearing in this post are from the 'So Natural' range, number 71004.

They're simples to apply, all you need is a swirl of glue, and a little pressure then hey presto you have affordable gorgeous talons in minutes without the damage of salon enhanced nails.

Nailene are my absolute favourite false nail brand, they have so many designs to choose from, they cater for girls with petite pinkies, they're long lasting and chip resistant too.

I was sent these nails for review, however I always give you my honest opinion!!

Peace & Love

Ravishing Revlon Red

Hey dolls,

I was recently approached by the lovely Laura from Pacific World Cosmetics to trial some fabulous Nailene and Revlon goodies, so this is the first of a few posts that will be coming your way over the next week.

Firstly I tried these beautiful red falsies from Revlon, they are the 'Color Allure in 99030, medium red'. The set contains 24 nails in 12 sizes plus a free glue, plastic orange stick and mini nail file.

It's really convenient that there are different sizes to choose from as my nails are itsy bitsy so I managed to pick out 10 and glued them down holding firmly for 10-15 seconds.

*Voila*

Your very own fun, fabulous festive nails!!

With these beauties being painted already I wasn't worrying about wear and tear of the nails, or chipping and they have lasted all week long.

I would highly recommend these nails especially for Christmas time.

Have you tried any Revlon falsies and loved them?

Lauren Conrad 'Style' =

Hey dolls,

Today I want to tell you all about the fabulous Lauren Conrad's Style book which I'm sure you're all aware is now available in the UK *yay*.

Lauren captured many hearts as the sweetheart of The Hills, and I fell in love with her effortly stylish chic look, tousled waves and sunkissed skin.

'Style' is currently retailing on Amazon for £6.49 so is well worth the buy!!

Given Lauren's extensive knowledge of fashion she is the perfect candidate to pen a fashion bible.

Chapter One - Building Your Wardrobe

This chapter is essential reading for any woman who wants to build a wardrobe with a few staple pieces that will be effortlessly chic. Lauren's also included a few of her favourite go-to-pieces to help achieve her stylish look, packed with plenty of glossy photos.

Chapter Two - The All American Uniform 'Jeans and T-Shirts'

This chapter is jam packed with every style of jeans imaginable; Lauren gives invaluable advice on what shoes to pair with your fit of jeans and what body shape is best suited to each pair of jeans. The T-Shirt section is only a couple of pages long but has some great tips on keeping whites white.

Chapter Three - The Hunt: How To Shop

Lauren has passed on her advice on shopping both in store and online. Tips and tricks for finding the perfect fit and more.... Definitely one for bookmarking!!

Chapter Four - Mastering Your Closet

This chapter provides advice on de-cluttering your closet, preserving clothing, how to display your clothes and a guide to handwashing your garms.

Chapter Five - Accessories

Accessories are the perfect way to switch up an outfit, create curves in all the right places and add glamour. Tricks of the trade sections in this chapter provide invaluable advice to any woman wanting to maintain her look. Handbags, jewellery, shoes, scarves... everything you name it is in this chapter.

Chapter Six - Getting Dressed: The Fun Part

Lauren has put all of her fashion knowledge into this chapter, it's all about finding your own personal style...it even covers body issues.

Chapter Seven and Eight - Make-up & Hair

My favourite part of the book was being invited in to Lauren's hair and make-up tips. She always looks naturally beautiful without over-doing the make-up. Transform your look from day to night and for special occassions.

Chapter Nine - Work and School

Featuring: The foolproof interview outfit, work-to-party attire, working with a school uniform and stretching your allowance. Lauren has provided plenty of do's and don'ts to help you achieve the professional look.

Chapter Ten - Travel

A chapter dedicated to everyone's favourite pasttime, whether its choosing your holiday wardrobe or dressing for the flight you'll find all the information you need here. Get your holiday checklist at the ready girlies!!

Chapter Eleven - Events and Parties

Being the Queen of The Hills, Lauren was never short of party invites so had plenty of experience in choosing the right outfit, make-up, hair and even the perfect pose. This chapter is another favourite of mine as it also includes a special event section.

........................................

I hope this break down of the chapters has provided an in sight in to 'Style'.

Enjoy

Perfect Plum!

Hey girlies,

Just a quick little post to show off my plum painted talons courtesy of Glamour magazine and Nails Inc.

I chose the 'Saville Row' polish as it will pair perfectly with a multitude of outfits and shades.

The application was easy, two coats provided the perfect coverage and the polish itself wasn't gloopy and thick like some polishes I have used. I would definitely recommend Nails Inc to others, and already have 'All That Glitters' on my Christmas wishlist...

Calavera Cocktail

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!

I love Halloween, and especially the limited edition bath ballistics from LUSH. This year Calavera caught my eye...

Isn't it pretty?

It smelt really fresh and citrussy which is a nice change because I usually opt for the sweet scented products.

When I dropped Calavera into the bath it started to fizz immediately and produced this beautiful rainbow hue of froth across my bath...

isn't it beautiful??

Calaveras (skulls, in Spanish) are an iconic image for Day of the Dead celebrations. Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition that honors and respects the dead.

Packed in to this bath ballistic is a heap full of Marigold Petals. In Mexican culture, marigolds are sometimes called "flower of the dead".

Calavera also contains plenty of citric acid, lime oil and neroli oil which combines perfectly to create the perfect cirtrus bath cocktail that looks as tropical as a rainforest.

What Halloween products did you love?

Girls With Attitude False Nails

Hello beauts,

I just wanted to share some flicks with you of these stunning false nails by Girls With Attitude. They are the Star Blaze false nails and come in a pack of 24 with a free nail glue.

The packaging is super cute, it reminds me of an old Nokia phone!

These nails cost £4.99 from Superdrug and are idealistic if you want that extra added bit of glam for a date or as a wedding guest or any other special occasion.

I particularly love the glitter and rhinestones on each nail that add that extra bit of sparkle.

The only fault I have with them is they aren't chip resistant - after just one day my thumb nail already has signs of some wear and tear. Having said that I do work in an office therefore use my nails a lot.

Perfect Pair!

Hi Dolls,

As some of you may remember from my last Aussie post I raved about this delightful little beauty;

Miracle Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner...

Well, it's still my no1 hair BFF!!

I have since teamed this with Mark Hill's Style Secrets Thicker Fuller Spray (available nationwide at Boots stores) for maximum uplifted roots without having to continually tease my hair.

Firstly I apply Aussie's MHI conditioner to damp hair then spritz the roots with Mark Hill's Thicker Fuller Spray and of course your own choice of heat protection spray, then I simply blow dry my hair and tame the mane with GHDs and voila nicely volumised hair without the need for hairspray and teasing.

I guarantee this will give your roots an uplift every time and your locks will smell luscious.

Mel's Sweet Bar Haul +

Hey loves,

Apologies for being M.I.A for over a week *slap hand* hope you're all well.

As promised I wanted to do a blog post on some of the fabulous items I purchased from Mel's lovely shop 'Mel's Sweet Bar'

The moment Mel announced the website officially open via Twitter I had to clicky on over and peruse around her online shop at such great excitement adding plenty to my shopping cart. Cue the shopping list:

Honey Pot Soap
Bubble Gum Bubbles Soap
Strawberry Cuppy Cake Soap
Strawberries and Cream Soap
Hello Kitty Soap (x2)
Kiss Me Clean Soap
Cupcake Bath Bomb (x2)
Soak Like A Rockstar Bath Bomb

I absoloutely adore all of these items, they smell so good!! The designs are super cute too, I especially adore all of the glitter on the soaps and on the bath bombs.

So far I have used one of the cupcake bath bombs, one of the kiss me clean soaps and partially used one of the Hello Kitty soaps. The soaps lather up so well and leave skin feeling thoroughly moisturised!! The cupcake bath bomb was so much fun, it actually fizzed up really fast unlike Lush's bath bombs.

The postage was awesome.... four days from New York to the UK - first class dispatch service!!

I love how Mel individually wrapped the soaps and put the little ribbons on, they're so pretty girl.

Definitely check out Mel's Soap Bar, it's my new favourite alternative to LUSH brought straight to you from one of YouTube's top Beauty Gurus.

Peace & Love

xoxo
